Thumbnail Images
Thumbnails are the first images a customer sees on Adobe Stock. They should be a creative way to showcase your design.
Thumbnail Image Requirements
- File Type: .jpg
- Dimensions: 1920px x 1080px
- Use explainer or lorem ipsum text utilizing the text in your template. Use text inputs within the template to explain its features. If the template has no text, like a transition, do not add it to the Preview Image.
- Motion graphics may be set against a color or photos/videos that match the theme of your template. For any photos/videos used in Preview Media, you must be the original creator of the images or have licensed the photo(s) or video(s) from Adobe Stock or stock site. You may use the Adobe Stock free collection, however do not use CC0/free media from other sources.
- For Media Replacement MOGRTs, you may showcase the template with the placeholder or licensed Stock photo/video as the replacement image/video.
- If your template contains more than a single animation, you may present multiple options simultaneously.
- Do not reference Adobe, Premiere Pro, After Effects or MOGRT.
Useful Thumbnail Image Tips
- Use background colors and shapes that will complement your template design
- Experiment with different ways of cropping or laying out your work to highlight interesting focal points in your template
- Remember that these images are a visual representation of your template for sale
- Do not use "sales" or "marketing" text - these will reduce our ability to market your work in curated campaigns
- Do not use images that contain IP violations (such as: real company logos, names, and products)
- Do not use images that are cluttered or unreadable/blurry - these may devalue your template and make it less desirable for customers and marketability
Preview Videos
Please expect the videos and thumbnails to be scaled down significantly (as small as 460 x 320) when displayed on Adobe Stock. Be mindful that intricate line work and thin fonts may not be visible at these sizes.
Preview videos playback when a customer hover over the thumbnails in the search results page and autoplay in the templates details details. They should be a representation of what are included within the templates.

Descriptive Text in Preview Assets
Best Practices
Storytelling is key when you are describing what your templates does in thumbnails and preview videos, showcasing with descriptive text is helpful to let the customer know on what to expect in their downloads.
Watch out for the following:
- Do's and don'ts for marketing text in preview assets: no promises, descriptions are ok but not subjective statements such as "easy to use", "fast render", etc.
- Words in preview assets that describe multiple items in one template: ‘pack’, ‘bundle’, ‘multiple styles’, ‘kit’, 'collection', etc. must have least 3 different comps/sequences included in the project file.
- Words like "library" and "toolkit" infer the larger number of items or various items. This should be avoided unless someone submits a template that is an actual library or toolkit.

Display Photos and Videos for Preview Assets
Best Practices
You may only use display assets from either of these sources:
- Licensed from Adobe Stock Free Collection - the standard license (includes assets from the Free Collection) allows you to use photos for display only
- Created by you - images or videos that you created/own (and can provide model and property releases if applicable)
Do not embed images in your template if they are licensed from Adobe Stock - the standard license will only allow you to use them as display assets in your thumbnail and preview video files.
