The David F. "Dusty" Drew Athletic Healthcare Facility hosts the department's Athletic Healthcare Services. Led by Head Athletic Trainer/ Athletic Healthcare Administrator Kelleigh O'Neill, the role of Athletic Healthcare Services is to provide the highest quality healthcare to the student-athletes of the University of Southern Maine.

Drew served USM and its student-athletes in a variety of roles: coach, athletic trainer, equipment manager, faculty member and academic coordinator over the span of several decades. Drew coached the baseball program for 12 seasons (1973, 1975-1985). The facility was renamed in his honor in 2022.

Located inside of the Costello Sports Complex, the Joey Bouchard Fitness and Wellness Center features state of the art fitness equipment that will satisfy both the experienced and inexperienced user. Treadmills, ellipticals, and other cardio equipment is complemented by selectorized, plate-loaded, and free weight strength training equipment.

Bouchard coached three varsity programs (baseball, men's basketball and men's soccer) during his 20 years of service at USM. The facility was renovated in the summer of 2022 and renamed in Bouchard's honor during the 2022 Homecoming Weekend.

Housed in the heart of the Athletic Department, the William B. Wise Athletics Learning Center offers a space for student-athletes to complete their weekly study hours (commonly referred to as "Study Tables" by USM student-athletes). First-year Huskies use "Study Table" time to create strong study habits as well as connecting with fellow student-athletes and other department staff socially.

The area was dedicated to Wise during the 2023 Homecoming Weekend. Wise began his career at USM in 1966 as Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs and served in a variety of roles until his retirement in 1991. His dedication to USM student-athletes and their pursuit of academic excellence and athletic success was first honored in 1988 when Huskies' Athletic Department established the William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete awards program.
