Highlights and statements

Welcome to the seventh edition of the Ninja Scrolls! The official MOD RUN paper.

Your monthly source for news from the mods.

Happy June everyone! Welcome to the 7th edition of the Seichi Scrolls.

For the first order of business I would like to direct people to the rules section of TNR (alternatively a link has been added to the main menu in game). An update was recently posted. The update mostly consists of grammar and clarification changes, alt killing is now prohibited, and selling rep points for real life money is also clearly prohibited. I highly advise people to read them and be aware of them.

Guess who's back, back again? Wolfi's back, tell a friend! Wolfikun is back as a moderator. He was with the team last fall, but after a break he once more has turned green.

In addition to Wolfi's return we are happy to announce our last two hires to the team. Please give a round of applause for Quiet and Bell, our two newest Jr. Mods!

Since we have had quite a few new hires since our first edition back in December when I first introduced the team in writing, I have asked the mods who have since joined our ranks to tell a little about themselves.

Celestina: Hi, I'm Celestina, I was born in Silence in c2 and ended up in Konoki and stayed there ever since. Now Tsukimori is my homeland. I'm always eager to learn something new from time to time, and open to try new food from all over the world (not so spicy). I also love reading, cooking and traveling. music is my passion and soul.

Bell: Hello, Bell-arina here. Some know me as a medical ninja with a passion for being silly, but what you may not know is that I have one major hobby that brings me much joy (and pain); drumming. I both play and collect drums and drumming accessories and have been doing so for almost twenty years now. My love of drumming was ignited by my grandfather who played in local bands/symphony and my love for the band Avenged Sevenfold.

Quiet: Quick Blurb about myself : I've played all of the TheNinja-RPG cores. Love to watch sad anime such as the masterpieces known as : Clannad, AngelBeats, Charlotte, Your Lie In April, Silent Voice, Your Name. Those are just to name a few. I love writing stories. Currently run a Final Fantasy 14 TTRPG campaign, just got into Warhammer 40k (Thousand Sons forever.) and I am TRYING to write my own book. Other than that, I feel pretty good to be part of a different part of the game staff. Learning the other side of this is amazing and I do feel comfortable with the team showing me the ropes. Hope to see you in game. ~

LG: My name is LG(formally known of Littlegirl) I am core 1 vet and known roamer. I play FF14 in my spare time and an ultimate raider. I also play LoL sometimes.

Wolfikun: Hi, Wolfi here, raver at heart i love to spend my free time making music and checking in on tavy. If there is anything i can help with, feel free to DM me

Kieto:Hi Kieto here, Hi Kieto here, Hi Kieto here, Hi Kieto here, wait what am i supposed to be saying, like a bio?

I like cooking and variety candies

Mituche (he isn't new, but had some words to say): Still Mexican, Love Tortas and Tacos!

How many is too many?

Hello ninja of Seichi! In this edition, I will be writing about secondary accounts or alts. Often, the primary account will be referred to as the “main” account, and the additional account will be called the “alt.” There are many questions some people have surrounding alts: What is the purpose of them? How many can you have? What do you do if you have too many? I’m here to answer some of these questions.

First, what is an alt? An alt is a secondary account that can be used for various reasons. Perhaps you want to try a different play style or check out a different village without leaving your own. Some use their alts for additional ryo. Perhaps you want to try to roll for a better bloodline. These are all legitimate reasons for wanting another account; however, there are some things to keep in mind.

TNR only allows for TWO accounts per user: one main and one alt. Evidence of more than two accounts could be grounds for a ban. Sharing, selling, or giving away accounts is also prohibited and can lead to bans for everyone involved.

Creating accounts in an attempt to roll a rarer bloodline is allowed; however, when doing so, the previous account must be deleted before the new one is created. This is where some confusion lies. When deleting accounts, a two-day deletion timer is set. However, TNR does NOT automatically delete the account once the timer has run its course. Instead, the user must log in and confirm deletion after 48 hours have passed. This is to prevent accidental deletions. Once the 48 hours have passed and the user has confirmed deletion, a new alt account can be made. This should be done first if you wish to avoid any bans or DMs from mods if we see you have more than the two allowed accounts.

What if you have multiple people in the same household who wish to play TNR? Can each person have one main and one alt? The answer is yes; however, we recommend DMing a mod so the team is aware of additional users in the household.

Do you have any other questions regarding alts and what is allowed? Please DM your friendly neighbourhood mod either in-game or on Discord, and we will gladly clarify any questions you might have!

“The Interim Kage: Branks’ Watch”

By: Rx

The War of Seichi World had left the nations fractured, their leaders scattered, and their people disillusioned. From the icy edges of Glacier to the burning sands of the Southern Lands, chaos reigned—but amidst it, the village hidden in the mist stood tall.

Its previous Kage had fallen. Not in battle, but in silence—burned out by the weight of leadership and the scars of war. Power vacuums, after all, don’t stay empty long.

That’s when Branks stepped in again.

Branks always said he was a placeholder—not a king, not a warlord, just a steward watching the gate, the throne for the people.

He didn’t come with fanfare or declarations. Branks was a man of quiet resolve—sharp-eyed, steady-handed, and respected by both shinobi and civilian alike. With the village at the brink of collapse, he accepted the mantle of Kage not for glory, but for duty.

Under his command, the village began to stabilize. Patrols resumed. Food lines shortened. Rogue factions either surrendered or disappeared into the mountains. Diplomats from rival villages visited not with threats—but with offers. Branks never claimed to be the strongest, nor the wisest—but he was, perhaps, the most reliable leader the village had known in generations.

But Branks never intended to rule forever. He always said, “I’m just holding the chair till the right one walks through the door.”

And one day—he did.

That day, Dashogun returned from exile. Once a prodigy turned wanderer, Dashogun came back changed. Wiser. Hardened. With the blessing of the Elders and the trust of Branks himself, he was named the next Kage.

Branks handed over the ceremonial Haori with a nod. No grand ceremony. Just two leaders exchanging purpose.

Under Dashogun, the village flourished—trade expanded, the academy overflowed with new recruits, and the fractured alliances of the Seichi world began to mend. Dashogun was fire—where Branks was ice. But both led with strength.

Peace is held, but peace is never permanent.

Whispers of an old evil—one long thought sealed beneath the Obsidian Crater—began to stir. Dashogun, driven by a vision of what was coming, stepped down to face the storm personally.

This time, Alistair rose.

Alistair was not born of war—but of the aftermath. A student of Branks. A peer of Dashogun. He bore their legacy in equal measure—disciplined, strategic, but fiercely idealistic. His era would be different. Not rebuilding or recovery—but ascension. Evolution.

And somewhere, far from the Kage’s office, Branks watched it all unfold, content in the shadows. He had done what few could: he held the line between chaos and order—and passed the torch before the flame ever dimmed.

Love is a Battlefield: Mav and Sparkle Tie the Knot!

By: AngelSaber

A match set aflame…

Over the months, a romance has been brewing between a surprising pair: Mav, the fire-starting ANBU captain from Shine, and Sparkle, Konokian princess and Seichi’s top thief. From the moment Sparkle first robbed Mav blind of his Adidas shoes, he’s been falling harder and harder for the one criminal he can’t catch. And little would Sparkle realize, Mav would pull the greatest heist of all between them: stealing her heart.

A fated battle for destiny!

In the middle of getting his ass kicked by Sparkle in a robbery once again, our smitten hero finally pulled out his secret Talk no Jutsu — and asked her to marry him! We were all sure she would say no (officially this is a joke). But Sparkle looked into her ANBU captain’s big brown eyes, and instead… told him he’d have to beat her first in a match. Afterwards, when Mav woke up in the hospital, he awoke with a new purpose: to train hard, and win Sparkle’s hand in a fated battle for destiny.

Friendzone no Jutsu x300

Mav would wake up in the hospital like that hundreds of times after. Sparkle’s Friendzone no Jutsu was a powerful nuke… and Kage Serene and Papa Soul were also putting on the pressure, making sure he knew who taught Sparkle how to fight so well! But as days and nights passed, the story made its way across Seichi, and soon everyone was on the edge of their seat to cheer love on. Could he do it? Out of respect for him, Sparkle wasn’t making it easy — and Mav wouldn’t have it any other way. Witnesses mostly lost count after the 80th battle or so… but Mav never gave up. And some claim the fated battle happened about 300 battles later, when…

Fire kunai to the heart

In a stunning finale, all of Shine and Konoki erupted into cheers when Mav finally did it. Bloody, bruised, and holding a fire kunai to Sparkle’s heart, Mav popped the question again: “will you marry me?” Smiling hard, Sparkle finally said yes! The wedding was immediate, riotous, and incredibly joyful. Mav got into criminal debt to afford Sparkle’s wedding ring, but thankfully marrying into the most criminal family of Seichi has its perks (Konoki’s princess is LOADED).

Happily Ever After

Mav and Sparkle are proof that love and humor can prevail even in the darkest of times. In a time when war and politics threaten to tear Seichi apart, we need to remember that there are little miracles that can still happen here and there. We wish Sparkle and her new trophy husband the best, and we thank them for sharing their amazing love story with us! Make sure to congratulate them if you see them, y’all!

Konoki Village Contest

By Bell

In the heart of the forest, Konoki recently held a contest among its members to see who could be the elite ninja in two key categories. The rules of this contest were simple, go out into the wide world of Seichi and prove your skills in either stealing ryo or being a killing machine (why not both?). Fire burning in their hearts, the shinobi of Konoki set out onto the unsuspecting world.Fear would strike the hearts of many, and some of those hearts would be stopped forever.

Out of respect of both the shinobi carrying out these acts and those who were victim to the acts, we will not be sharing any numbers but only celebrating the winners of each category.

The term “grabby hands” is used in to describe the action of stealing ryo from ones “pockies” in Konoki. The top shinobi of this in order from first to fifth place:

1. The quick and determined Yojimbo

2. The ever so delightful yet ruthless LG

3. The sweet yet spicy Shion

4. The resilient and kind Mitza

5. The tough Lagd.

In the dark of night and even in the brightest of days, the Konoki shinobi liked to stack the bodies high. To demonstrate their deadly force, the top shinobi of this category from first to fifth place were:

1.The MSG loving Shion

2. The ever destructive Yojimbo

3. The assassin LG

4. The Elite Jonin Soul

5. The lethal Konoki Kage Serene.
